This post has been pending for a long time… haha, I started juicing in 2013, walked into the Matalan store and found a juicer on sale for £15.99, and the rest is now a lifestyle.

As a little girl, I always dreamt of having fresh juice in the morning (I blame the movies I watched). Because they didn’t say, you need to prep the fruit and juice it via a juicer.

I currently use the Jocuu Juicer, which was gifted to me by my aunty for my birthday last year.

Why You Should Start Juicing

Juicing your fruit is a healthier option for eating your fruits and vegetables.

It aids digestion and allows you to visit the toilet easily.

It reduces the craving for processed sugar.

Improves your natural glow from within. (you are what you eat).

Types of Juicer

There are two types of juicer, the Masticating juicer and centrifugal juicer.

I have used both; my first juicer was a centrifugal juicer. A centrifugal juicer is a fast juicer that is fast, as the name implies, produces lots of foam and waste a lot of key ingredients that could benefit one while extracting the juice from the vegetable or fruit. ( I don’t recommend).

My current juicer is a masticating juicer which is a slow juicer that extracts almost all of the vital ingredients from the fruit produces less waste, less heat and foam. (This is the type of juicer I recommend). It can be costly, but it is worth the investment.

How To Be Consistent With Juicing

Prep your fruit/vegetable the night before by washing it and storing it in the fridge to keep it fresh.

When juicing orange, you want to peel the skin off as juicing it as a whole would make it taste acidic.

Favourite Fruit Combination For Juicing

• Orange, Lemon, Lime and Ginger
• Lacinato kale, apple and lemon
• Pineapple and ginger
• Apple ( green and red)
• Carrot and Orange
• Ginger ( I like to sip juiced ginger with hot water when I am having menstrual cramps, it helps soothes the pain).
• Orange and Red Apple.
• Red grape orange and red blood orange
