Who says that you can’t wear your work shirt outside of the office in a casual style? In today’s post, I am styling this polka dot blouse with grey jeans for a casual yet relaxed look.

This week I celebrated my birthday, and I couldn’t help but reflect on the things that have changed in my life since turning 30.
Thirty Fine Lessons That I have learnt Since I turned 30.
Championing and cheering myself:
- In my 20’s I would normally wait for people to cheer me or champion me, these days I have become my biggest cheerleader.
Living in the moment
I am constantly remembered that life is too short and that we have to living in the moment.
Spend time with your loved ones, treat yourself to the finest thing, find people who accept you for who you are and tell people how much they mean to you while there are still alive.
Saying No:
Saying no has been freed me from making a decision that would leave me feeling drained.
Before now, I said yes to everything, now I take my time to think things through and even when I say YES it’s because I have spare capacity.
And when I said No, I no longer feel bad about it.
Body Positivity
With the constant bullying, I received in my 20’s on my looks, I hated my look so much, but, once I turned 30, girl!!, I began to love myself! (seeing that this is the body I will always live in).
- Learning to Trust God without an element of doubt. Trust me; life has thrown hard balls my way. I decided to trust God.
- Gratitude. After the death of my mom, I understood the meaning of vanity! Every day I am thankful for the gift of life and the opportunities that come with it.
- Forgiveness. In my 20’s I struggled with this, but over the last 3 years, it’s been a lot easier to forgive and forget without hoping any grudge.
- Saving for the future and buying less.
- Rooting for other people, encouraging others by sharing my story.
- speaking up in the workplace.
- Taking care of my skin more intensely and drinking water so that I can look 16 at 60.
- Bonus: Not comparing myself to the next person and do things that I enjoy.
So if you ask me what my favourite birthdays years are, my answer will be my 30’s! I love living life, unapologetically!

I absolutely love this site. I also love the pink shoe. That’s one color of shoe I’m looking forward to adding to my wardrobe. Looks absolutely lovely the way you’ve combined it with the polks dot blouse.
Cheers to many more days of living unapologetically!
